What Am I Wearing?!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Look, if I’m honest this whole ‘what are you wearing’? business, with regards to Britmums Live, has been doing my head in! It’s made me very grumpy.

I am of course going to be wearing my ‘Sudocrem‘ T. Shirt as they are my fabulously generous sponsors (don’t forget to come and talk to me about their new ‘Care & Protect’ product) but what about when I am in the bar and for the awards ceremony in the evening?!

My wardrobe as a whole needs a complete make-over but shopping with children is so not easy!

Trying clothes on with two small people in the cubicle is tricky. And embarrassing! They have both discovered that slapping me on the bottom repeatedly, thus making a loud slap sound, is hilarious! To them! For me, leaving with the clothes that inevitably do not look good on and red faced handing them over to the teenage smirking staff member, not so much!

And they just get bored. And I just get more grumpy. I want to be a dress size smaller and trying on clothes only emphasises the fact I have failed to achieve that. I simply find no enjoyment out of it these days.

So I left it till the last minute and with just days to go still had nothing to wear.

And then I was saved!

By none other than the supermarket of course!

I actually buy loads of my clothes from Tu at Sainsbury’s. Even Gok Wan is designing for them (I so want him to be my pal and call me ‘girlfriend’ on cocktail nights out) so I know I’m in good hands!

So for Britmums Live I will be wearing Sainsbury’s! And I have not one, not two but THREE outfits to choose from!

Sainsbury's Clothes Tu 1

Animal Print Culottes £14, Studded Black T.Shirt and Swirl Strap Stud Sandles £16!

‘I haven’t worn culottes since I was about 11 but I am totally into the fact that they’re back! These ones remind me of the look Julia Roberts has at the end of ‘Pretty Woman’ when she’s cleaned up! Very sophisticated, a little bit more interesting than a skirt and easy to wear! The top with gapes on the shoulder is my favourite thing of the collection; so simple but so flattering and attractive! The shoes are fabulous and very sparkly. They’d also work really well for an evening out on holiday!’

Zebra Print Dress £25 and Swirl Strap Stud Sandles £16!

‘I love this linen dress with a lining and belt that nips you in at the waist! Perhaps not quite as much as in the picture on me but it definitely accentuates the waist and the midi length is very flattering. Bang on safari trend with the zebra print and would suit any age range I think!’

Sainsbury's Clothes Tu

Blue Tube Skirt £12, White Top £10, Statement Necklace £13 and White Daisy Sandles £14!

‘I genuinely thought a tube skirt would look rubbish on me, I thought you needed really long legs but this one is a really great fit and the thick material makes it quite slimming! It’s funny that this is the one outfit I didn’t choose for myself and had chosen for me but it’s the one I like most! I adore the top and necklace which really glam it up! The shoes are hitting all the daisy notes of this season too and having flats to walk round in all day is far more inviting than heels!’

Just a couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about the children’s summer clothes and now I’ve been able to show that it’s not just the little ones they do well for! Love my new outfits!

I have loads of favourite clothes from there actually! My black jumpsuit which was in the sale years ago is still a wardrobe staple of mine, my pleated kilt skirt comes out every winter and I also have lots of summer dresses, accessories and their leggings are the best!I love that you can buy stylish, fashionable, well fitting and well made clothes while you do the weekly shop! This is economic on time not to mention the purse!

When I was choosing my Britmums outfits I also saw lots of other things I shall be buying! A gorgeous polka dot 50’s swim suit and an ace beach dress for the Marbella wedding I’m going to later in the year are definitely on my list!

So, this is me!

Unfortunately Jonny is off on a stag do for a long weekend and I have no one to take my picture… You’ll have to make do with this selfie! I love the necklace!

And now I’m all set!

I have my outfits (thanks Sainsbury’s!)! I even have business cards which is something I hardly ever remember to think about!

See you there, you know what I’ll be wearing so when you spot me in my gorgeous new clothes come and say hi!

Business Cards

Business cards ready!

Sainsbury’s are dressing me for Britmums Live and Sudocrem are sponsoring my trip to the event.
