Potette Plus!

The Potette is something I have often heard other parents talking about. We’ve even used a friend’s Potette in the past when we got caught short whilst in the park one day and in fact that is the main beauty of the Potette. It is a potty, which folds up flat and you get to take it out with you for the day to whip out in those moments of wee wee panic!

And now there is a Potette Plus, a new and imporved version. We only used the original Potette once so I can’t really compare them but from what I’ve read, the newer version just has a bit more lasting power as it can be turned into a toilet seat too.

I can say that we have been finding the Potette Plus invaluable when it’s come to this summer! I wouldn’t say we’re really making inroads into potty training for Jimmy just yet but he’s beginning to get the hang of it and when he does ask it’s wonderful to be able to produce something for him to sit on and use. Something which actually makes him WANT to go on the potty for when you wee on a Potette with a Potette liner, it has frogs on it which he rather likes!

Very easy to use with legs that click into place and then the liner absorbs the fluid into crystals making it easy to dispose of without spills. The liners are also fragranced which is great if camping in the summer!

We took it camping with us which is a great idea as it saves going to the toilets in the night and also meant we could have it with us all day should the need arise. We were at a festival where queues were very long so it’s certainly handy and the fact that it can be used as a seat for a toddler on a big toilet is brilliant for both hygiene and introduction.

All in all a nifty little product but I’m not sure the price of the liners would sway me for every day use and we might just continue to wee behind a tree (the children, not me) when caught short in the park. At £4 for 10 or £10.25 for 30 liners it’s a pretty expensive wee wee! My friends have told me they don’t actually use the liners anymore and use a nappy sack with tissues instead so that’s an idea! It’s a must for camping and festivals, in fact when asking friends what to take the name Potette came up often and it’s a good idea for every day if you can afford the liners!
