Mr Frosty Is Back!

As a kid I was pretty lucky when it came to toys. My Mum was very kind and at Christmas and birthdays I remember always being given wonderful gifts. I don’t think I was overly indulged but my Mum knew which toys were important and did her very best to make sure I had the ones I was really hankering after. She somehow just knew (probably after looking at the Argos catalogue pages with the most thumb prints after I’d poured over it) and always made special occasions brilliant!

I was very into toys for a very long time. Long after my pals stopped playing with their baby dolls I’d still be walking mine up and down the street in a toy buggy, setting up my Sylvanians and dressing up my Barbies. I loved toys, what can I say? I still do! Some of the things I adored in the 80’s and 90’s were my Glow Worm, Wuzzles, Roland Rat, Fashion Wheel (remember THAT gem?!), Pregnant Pound Puppy, Snugglebum, Care Bear (I had Lucky Clover), Cabbage Patch Kids, Boglin… Oh! Actually my list is way too long to keep going but you get the drift… I had lots of lovely toys.

But!

Everyone has that one toy they always wanted but never got given don’t they?! And for me that toy is Mr Frosty! I had some friends who had him but most didn’t and he was like a little bit of a status booster if you found him underneath the wrapping paper, alas, it was never me. Talking to my friends it seems I’m not alone in the always admiring him stakes, he’s a bit of a legend by all accounts!

And now…

The new but ever so retro Mr Frosty!
The new but ever so retro Mr Frosty!

Mr Frosty has had a revival for 2016! That retro classic and his pal Percy the Penguin (who squeezes on the flavour syrup) is back on hand to bring slushies to the children of today just as he did (or didn’t in my case) back in the day! I’m not sure that my Kid’s realise the significance to getting your own Mr Frosty but they were excited to see him all the same and he looks just as he did when I was little. Love that!

Mr Frosty can be picked up in Smyths and The Entertainer for £19.99.

We were sent Mr Frosty for review.
