Dear Father Christmas…

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I actually get more of a kick buying presents for the people I love than I do receiving them and usually I haven’t got a clue what to say when my family ask me what I’d like for Christmas. This year, however, seems to be a little different and I have a list as long as my arm – I just KEEP seeing things I would really, really like!

So, IF I was writing a list to Father Christmas this yule then these are what I’d put on it. The top ten presents for me…

  1. Moquette Magazine Rack from the London Transport Museum – I saw this on my last visit with my friend ModernMummy and really fell for it. It’s quite pricey at £150 but I liked it so much and thought it would be like taking a little piece of London with us when we move to Norfolk. I actually KNOW that my Mum has bought me this as it had half off in the Black Friday sales so she snapped it up!
  2. Babylis Stylable Hair Extensions – I’ve been trying to make my hair thicker with products for years and it just isn’t happening so I want to try some clip in locks to give my hair a boost! I don’t want to buy on line as I need to see the colours in real life so these ones from Boots are perfect – IF I can find a store which stocks them!
  3. Olympus PEN E-PL6 Camera – I love my Nikon DSLR but I really want a camera that I can Vlog with and it’s just too big. This one is smaller and has a screen that flips around so you can see yourself. I’m not very techy but I’ve had this recommended to me and John Lewis are never knowingly under sold so you can pretty much guarantee getting the best deal!
  4. Tickets to see Beautiful – I’m a HUGE Carol King fan and have been ever since I found my Mum’s ‘Tapestry’ album on casette. I used to have it on my Walkman non stop and I’d LOVE to see this musical in the West End!
  5. Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer – Always wanted one of these but my kitchen just isn’t big enough. Now we’re moving I see no reason not to indulge especially as this one is reduced in Lakeland! They are very pricey so I’d like to see if it actually IS any better than some of the lookie likies!
  6. Alex Monroe Bumblebee Necklace – I have seen this necklace on people a few times but that doesn’t put me off. It’s such a classic and I don’t know anyone with it in gold which would be my choice!
  7. Chanel Rouge Noir Nail Varnish – I’ve worn this religiously since the 90’s. Uma Therman wore it in Pulp Fiction and then everyone I knew bought a bottle including me and I wear it every winter. It never goes out of style and is my absolute favourite! Although I’ve tried other brands there’s none QUITE as good as Chanel! Barry M does the best copy I know and it’s a fraction of the price but I still think the original has the edge!
  8. Hand Made Fire Pit – For the new house I have actually bought myself an early Christmas present in the form of a fire pit. I have dreams of toasting marshmallows so I guess I will also need a toasting fork! The one I’ve bought is hand made by my cousin Tyrone who only charges £140 despite it being hand crafted and his original design! He’s a wonderful artist so do click on the link to see his other pieces.
  9. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume – This is my current favourite scent and although I got a bottle for my birthday I’m already half way through it. I don’t like to run out so I definitely need this on my list!
  10. Fringe Clutch Bag in Stone – I fell in love with this bag at the White Company Christmas press day back in the summer and I still think it’s gorgeous! Perfect in fact and made of suade which is just so decadent don’t you think?! I want this bag so much
