It’s Cra-Z-Sand!

The children were recently sent some Cra-Z-Sand by Character Options and it has been a mega hit while we’ve been playing in the sunshine outside but… The best thing (and there’s lots to say about it), about Cra-Z-Sand, is that you can have it indoors too! It’s so like sand but also so unlike sand it really is crazy and we think it’s flipping awesome!
Aimed at boys and girls aged 4+ this is the sand that you can mould and sculpt like a modelling clay or let it run through your fingers just like regular sand. We were sent the Deluxe Playset £19.99 which comes in a tray with some utensils to help cut, flatten and sculpt the sand. The tray is awesome as it keeps it enclosed and this is why you can use it inside. The sand the tray comes with is sand in colour but rather interestingly you can buy it in array of other colours too. We were sent a sent a One Colour Single Pot (£4.99) in blue (it comes in a bigger £9.99 pack too) which is very vibrant and meant that we could create a beach scene which Florence particularly enjoyed.

It's great that it comes in different colours!

The children have been using it to build sand castles and create shapes using moulds as well as cutting it into bricks and spreading it about to make the beach scene. When you’ve made something you can actually pick it up as something you’ve modelled but you create the model just as you would with regular sand of course. I think the only down side to this pack is that it doesn’t actually come with any moulds yet it works so well with them that we think it should.

Cutting it into bricks is easy to do then you can really build!

I guess Cra-Z-Sand can be likened to Play-Doh AND regular sand as well as that funny cornflour mixture they put out in play groups. It’s strange in consistency as it changes all the time depending on how you hold it and the children think it’s lots of fun. The fact that it can be used inside is great for people like us who don’t have a garden to play in at the moment – LOVE it!
Both children enjoyed playing with it outside at my Mum'd house but we can take it home and play indoors at our house too!

It doesn’t dry out, picks up off the floor very easily and is also, when the colours get mixed together, it’s fairly easy to separate them again although the children do need help with that!
We were sent the Cra-Z-Sand for the purpose of an honest review.
