I have just been sent an electric toothbrush from Colgate to trial and review for the blog. I’ve never really used an electric toothbrush before so it’s going to be a whole new experience for me! I have to admit that ordinarily I just buy whatever toothbrush is on offer or the cheapest, I’ve even been known to opt for the value ones in the supermarket that cost just 11 pence or something so this is really quite a departure as this one is rather pricey!
My job is to determine whether it’s worth the pounds and why, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge! I have started my initial tests and so far so good. The brush is the ProClinical A1500 which is, at the moment, exclusively sold in Boots and this is what they have to say about it:
Experience the next generation of electric brushing with the new Colgate® ProClinical™ A1500.
The first electric toothbrush with auto-pilot.
The new Colgate® ProClinical™ A1500 is the UKs first electric toothbrush with smart sensors that automatically adjust to clean both teeth & gums.
Thanks to its distinct smart sensors, the brush automatically adjusts to engage different speeds and cleaning actions based on the position you hold it in your mouth, resulting in a superior* clean for teeth & gums.
The new Colgate® ProClinical™ A1500 automatically adjusts to deliver;
- Mid speed in-out massaging strokes for the gum line
- Slower side-to-side strokes for teeth surfaces
- Fast, up-down strokes for molars
Key features include;
- Sonic wave cleaning action
- 1 automatic mode
- 2 manual modes
- 2 minute timer
- 30 second pacer
- 2 Triple Clean refill head
- 1 Sensitive Refill Head
- Travel case
- 30 day money back guarantee
So, as the final point says, it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee! Not bad… I mean it is, like I mentioned above, a pricey toothbrush – they must be confident of it to offer you a full refund if you’re not satisfied after 30 days…
Well! I’m taking on that challenge and thirty days from today on the 22nd March I shall be giving you my full verdict with a little update half way through for good measure!
To accompany me in the challenge I shall be using a new toothpaste, Colgate Total Interdental which promises to be the latest advancement from Colgate and give an extraordinary dentist clean feeling every time you brush. They say it will change the way you feel about brushing your teeth.
The patented technology enables Colgate Total Interdental with its millions of micro-cleaning particles to continuously fight plaque and clean deep between teeth to reach where your brush can’t and gives an unbeatable, superior clean you feel instantly.
Well… We shall see then! Looking forward to this one actually! Back in a couple of weeks for an update and to give you the lowdown on the toothpaste which sells in all major supermarkets for £3.49.
I have not been paid for this post but I have been sent the two products mentioned for trial and review purposes.
