I Spy Books!

Ever been on a car journey with a child? Yep! Well then you’ll know! You need to pack many, many things to stave off the ‘Are we nearly there yets’! Food, games, magazines and colouring things are usually my staples but we also play lots and lots of games too. One of which, of course, is ‘I spy’.

Just as with the children’s CD, which my husband eventually pretends won’t work as we have run out of signal – wonder how ling that’ll work, we get a bit tired in the front and could occasionally do with a break! We were sent a few books which i think might just help us do that and the fab thing about them is that they work for little ones about Florence’s age but are absolutely suitable for children much older who can read!

The ‘I Spy’ range of books by Michelin are a really good and fun way of getting children to firstly look around and pay attention to what’s going on as they whizz about on journeys but also, they can be used on their own! Essentially they are a list of things to look for and to tick off. The book asks you to spy and object and then you loook for it until you do. In the most basic form, as each item has a picture, Florence can easily follow this but for a more advanced approach then the exact item and not say, just a red car, can be looked for along with answering questions and learning little facts about the items you are trying to spy!

There are lots of books in the range including ones for particular cities, flowers, cars and animals. We were sent a selection and think they’re an ace idea. You get to give yourself points with each one spotted and when you have enough points you send off for a certificate. A great value book at £2.50 and would keep little ones entertained while travelling for sure! Even big ones when you get to topics like cars!!

The ‘I Spy’ books are great!

I have not been paid to write this post but I was sent a selection of the books for the purpose of review.
