Frolics And Fun This February At Willows Farm Village

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I just found out that our favourite farm has a special lambing event over half term and am absolutely gutted that I’ve arranged to go to see my Mum in Norfolk for the whole week! Willows Farm is so easy to get to from London that you can even get there by tube! It’s also absolutely magical and a place I always want to go back to let alone the children! We had the best time there last Easter and at Christmas we met Father Christmas which was so magical and different to anywhere else. I would adore to take Florence to their February Frolics event and meet the baby lambs as I know she’d think it was fantastic – Ah well… Next time! If you do happen to be stuck for something to do this half term and haven’t booked yourself out for the whole week (kicking myself now!) I can recommend wholeheartedly that you pop along for a visit – it’s like a step back in glorious time with none of the fun missing for a ‘noughties’ child! We love it, hope you do too and here’s all the info!

February Frolics will take place between 16th– 24thFebruary 2013 at Willows Farm Village, near St Albans. This fascinating and fleecy seasonal event gives visitors an insight into the lambing process, with hundreds of new-born lambs expected to be born at Willows to co-inside with the half term holiday

Resident lambing assistant – and daughter of Farmers Andrew and Anna – Katie Wolfe will be in the Lambing Marquee, taking care of the ewes as they have their lambs and teaching children all about the new arrivals.

You can also follow the progress of the lambs you’ll see at Willows via its ‘Lamb Cam’. Hosted on the Willows website, it provides a live feed into the Lambing Marquee and if you’re patient, you’ll see more lambs being born live!

There’s also plenty of fun and frolics around the rest of the Farm Village, including prizes for taking part in Bo Peep’s fun hunt for her lost sheep, fleecy arts and crafts, Mad Science Farming Shows and new for 2013, lamb bottle-feeding demonstrations.

There is also a host of indoor and outdoor adventure play, farmyard animals, fun fair rides and much more to enjoy.
