#LikeAGirl? Always!

I started learning how to drive in February and 3 week’s ago I finally passed my test. I say finally as it was my fifth attempt but hey, I got there in the end. This week I have seen the freedom it’s given me and I’ve been able to nip to the coast and other places just because I fancied it; no working out bus and train routes or worrying about sticking to a time table, I just got in the […]

Camp Bestival 2015!

Posted in Uncategorized

We had the best time at Camp Bestival last year and we can’t wait to go back again this weekend for our second year of Camp B fun! This time we are doing it solo, well, with friends but without any men and it means that I, with my new driving licence, have to drive from London to Dorset then put up a tent on my own. I can do this right?! I’m nervous but then I look at the […]

The First Week Of The Holidays!

Posted in Uncategorized

It doesn’t feel like a week has gone by already but somehow time just flows rather than trickles when your having fun and today we enter the second week of the summer holidays. The first week has been heaped with fun as well as relaxing as my girl definitely needed to re-charge her batteries. I picked her up on the last day of term and she was bouncing around having fun in the play ground but by the time we […]

Interplay Bath Bomb Making Kit!

Posted in Uncategorized

Just over a year ago we used the Interplay Fairy Garden Kit and Florence was absolutely thrilled with it. It was so much fun and it looked beautiful when the grass had grown. We’ve kept all the bits from it and we will do it again soon for sure because it was just lovely to watch it develop after all the fun of making it up. Around the same time we used another Interplay kit, ‘My Living Butterfly World’ where […]

Schleich Farm Life!

Posted in Uncategorized

After reviewing the Schleich Riding Arena a couple of months ago we were sent some of the new toys from the Farm Life range at Schleich to add them to it and make our collection bigger. We were sent 3 new horses, a rider and a selection of accessories like a new saddle, some horse food and treats and a grooming box (which we especially like). There’s something especially gorgeous about Schleich animals and they’ve always been the ones I would choose when buying […]

Elf Tree Playset – Ben And Holly!

Posted in Uncategorized

Last year we reviewed the Thistle Castle Playset from the Ben and Holly toy range by Character and shortly afterwards we were sent the connecting Magical Swing and Slide Playsets which click onto the Castle and the children think are brilliant. It’s a show they absolutely adore and when they play with the toys, making up their own stories, they are so sweet! I love small world play! A year on and we still play with those toys and have […]

Beados Gem Designer Studio!

Posted in Uncategorized

Back last September Florence reviewed the Beados Quick Dry Design Studio and she thought it was absolutely fantastic. She’s very crafty so choosing the right coloured beads to place on a clear board with a design template underneath it is just up her street. It’s a little bit fiddly and you need patience but she’s really good at that and within a few hours had created some brilliant pieces including some which she had free handed. She’s continued to use it […]

Driving Miss Ruth!

Posted in Uncategorized

As a 17 year old with money in my pocket for my birthday I DID embark upon some ill fated driving lessons but… I didn’t learn to drive… My first few were with a man I like to call the poisoned tangerine dwarf. He was smaller than me (and I’m 5ft 2″) and so badly fake tanned that he was practically glowing! He was miserable too and I was very miffed that he wouldn’t let me use the radio in our […]

Tiddler And Other Terrific Tales!

Posted in Uncategorized

Every year at Christmas time we look forward to seeing The Scamp Theatre Company produce Stick Man Live In The West End.  It’s probably the best thing we’ve ever been to see at the theatre for children. I mean that’s quite a hard statement to make because we’ve seen a LOT of good stuff but there’s something different about Stick Man? Something extra special. It helps that it’s Christmassy of course but it’s definitely more than that; I just can’t put my […]

The Ending Of The First School Year!

Posted in Uncategorized

I simply can’t believe that this time last year I was writing about Florence finishing nursery about to embark upon her big school journey and suddenly here we are at the end of her reception year. Where does the time go? My little girl has done a whole year of big school and come out the other side just as wonderful as she always was but with bundles more knowledge. Her school have worked wonders with her and from those […]
